By 2017, US and EU Expect To Mutually Recognize GMP Inspections

The US and EU expect to mutually recognize each others good manufacturing practice inspections by 2017. The deal could be reached under negotiations for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership deal. The US and EU have been making progress on mutually recognizing GMP inspections since this past June. The EMA already has GMP agreements with several countries, including Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand.
