Losing weight can be tough, so it’s not surprising that many people resort to ‘miracle’ weight-loss pills and potions available online. While most of these products are harmless (read: ineffective), the comeback of the 1930s weight loss aid DNP (2,4-dinitrophenol) is a reason for concern. There’s a valid reason why this synthetic chemical was originally used in explosives manufacture: it turns the food you eat into waste heat, which not only ‘blasts fat’ but can potentially kill you…
