FDA nominee questioned about ties to the drug industry


Robert Califf, President Obama’s pick to head the FDA, is now being questioned about his ties to the drug industry. Califf talked in a Senate hearing before the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. He testified that his past relationships with drug companies never influenced his academic research, and that he would maintain the agency’s standards.
