India Increases FDI Cap To 74%

India’s government has significantly increased the direct shareholding cap for foreign investors. FDI was increased to 74% from its previous high of 49%. India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, had been pushing to open up the country to greater foreign investment in an effort to stimulate economic growth.
