Lupin Announces Generic Morphine Sulfate

Indian Pharma major Lupin has announced the launch of generic morphine sulfate ER tablets for the US market. The drug is used to treat severe pain. The tablets, which are the generic equivalent of Purdue Pharma’s MS Contin ER Tablets, come in dosages of 15 mg, 30 mg, 60 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg, and the drug has already received FDA approval. According to IMS health data, MS Contin ER Tablets have annual sales of $282.9 million in the US.
