TPP leaks show US sided with Big Pharma

The Trans-Pacific Partnership is entering its final negotiations later this month, and it had long been rumored that the White House wanted to protect Big Pharma from generic and biosimilar competition. It seems that those fears were well founded. New protections in the deal will “restrict access to cheaper, generic prescription drugs in dozens of countries,” according to Connecticut Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.
